Hangovers are bad for the soul...

Kano groaned, the light from the sun piercing through even his closed eye lids, forcing him to exit his slumber and join the world of the living. Though instead of complying, Kano turned over, seeking refuge from the sun. What Kano didn't realize was that he was sleeping on a roof, and that by rolling over, caused him to begin tumbling down the roof, soon becoming airborne as the roof ended, sending him sailing over the street.

Kano's eyes briefly fluttered open just in time to see the ground racing to give him a chest bump. However, in his state, he didn't even have time to protect himself, landing with a large thud, a puff of dust sent up around him as he collided with the earth. A groan emitted from him as he slowly rolled over, his nose bleeding as he failed to put his hands up to protect his face. Now his head pounded even more, adding to the hangover headache that he already had.

Standing up slowly, he stumbled a bit, leaning on the building of whose roof he had been previously sleeping on. He dusted himself off and wiped the blood on his sleeve. Luckily it wasn't broken and the bleeding soon subsided, and his shinigami outfit, while easily could've looked better, wasn't all dusty anymore. Kano reached inside of his outfit and pulled out a small bottle of water. It was the perfect thing after a hangover for him, and so he always carried it on him whenever he was going to get drunk, which is seemed was almost every night these days. Kano wondered if he should consider drinking only every other night.

Kano's mindless musings were interrupted when a hell butterfly sought him and he lazily extended a finger for the creature to land on. Kano's eyes widened at the knowledge he was given and nodded, the butterfly flying off after having fulfilled its task. 'A captain's meeting? What the hell for? And for that matter, holy crap they invited me!' Tanaka thought as he shook his head, pushing all his pain back with pure will as he began to head for the 1st division. This was his first time representing his whole division, there having been no Captain meetings since his own left on a mission. Kano hoped that he wouldn't make a fool of himself, but at the same time found it hard for himself to get too worried about it.
